Just Start! The Time Will Never Be Perfect

So, you wish to start your own business, but feel unable to because of a lack of resources.

Here is a vital first step to grasp, which will seem counter-intuitive at first … There is a powerful relationship between our movement toward our dreams, and the resources we need becoming available to us.

And a common mistake in moving toward our dreams is to not move at all.  We wait until we have the necessary resources in hand before we start moving forward. However …

When we procrastinate, we usually find we never start.

The bible has many such stories, where over and over God sent people out with what seemed like little, or inadequate resources. Yet, when they got to where He wanted them to be, the resources needed to get the job done were in place waiting for them.

Vision doesn’t follow resources, it happens the other way around. First we have a dream, then we have to move forward. Only then, do the people and resources follow.

Its then that the plan starts to fully reveal itself and fall into place.

Napoleon Hill once said, ‘Effort only releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.’  Successful people can ‘see’ what others don’t, and it’s what keeps them moving forward.

Instead of sailing off into new lands of opportunity, many of us stay standing on the dockside waiting for the ship to be in place, with its gangplank in place.

We want perfect weather before we’re willing to launch.  But it never happens.

Dreams don’t move toward us, we have to move toward them.

One author writes:

“It’s time to quit waiting for perfection, inspiration, permission, reassurance, someone to change, the right person to come along, the kids to leave home, the new administration to take over, an absence of risk, someone to discover you, a clear set of instructions, more self-confidence, or the pain to go away”.

When you make the choice to move toward your dreams, you’ll be amazed at how quickly the resources will follow, but the choice to move is down to you.

Until next time, keep the dream alive!
