If you’ve been watching the news lately, it might be enough to cause some of you sleepless nights as you worry about Brexit (if you’re in the UK), sickness and disease, the economy, and the fact that our governments seem to have little clue about how to deal with certain crisis. My message to you though is just “hold on!”
The Bible tells us that we’re in this world but not of it, which means that when you operate under God’s economy in the Kingdom of God, it doesn’t matter what is going on around you, He will make a way where there seems to be no way. Jesus said in Mark 9:23 that “all things are possible to him that believes.” What we must learn to do in this present age is believe God’s promises – which He has given to us in His Word – above all else.
How many times do we see during election campaigns all the promises made by the politicians and within weeks of them taking up office, they violate at least one of their big bold promises? God never does that … His Word is His Word and He said it will not return to Him void. Unlike the politicians words, God’s promises are “Integrity Filled!”
If you are fearful today for whatever reason – recession, sickness, job security – get a hold of God’s Word and stay in it until what you see in His Word becomes more real than your circumstances. That’s the kind of faith that Jesus talks about in Mark 11:23 that will move mountains! But note how in Matthew 17:20, Jesus puts the responsibility on us as believers to speak to the mountain:
“For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you..”
God has given you permission to put His word in your mouth and speak it out in faith as though it were Him speaking. Go ahead and tell that mountain of debt or sickness or fear or whatever the mountain in your life, to “move!”
Don’t let the enemy belittle the power and authority God has given you through Christ Jesus. He has given us the keys to the kingdom and it’s time to rise up in faith and use them.
