Every aspect of our lives has already been mapped out for us … even before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:4).
I love to say that we’re living God’s history.
As far as He’s concerned, it’s already done. And we know the plans He has for us are good because He’s already told us that … and to prove it, He’s given us His Word in human flesh, Jesus Christ, we have His text, the Bible, and when we’re listening, we even have His voice.
So then what you get and what you achieve in life is all dependent on what you believe and who you believe.
Do you believe what God says about you in His Word, or are you more concerned with what others say about you? How many times have you been in that prayer line and even people who don’t know your name have told you the same thing you’ve been hearing from others over and over again, but you’re struggling to receive it, because you can’t see it?
I know I’m not alone, but recently one of my regular prayers have been, “God help me to see what you see.” And that’s not just about me, that’s about any situation, because it’s so easy to go with the flow of the majority, repeat what they’re saying and totally miss the plans God has already laid out for your life.
Life Is A Journey
But all too often we want God to reveal his plans to us all at once. But if He did, it would probably destroy us because we couldn’t handle it.
In England when I was growing up, there was a road safety ad on TV, teaching children how to cross the road safely. It was aptly called The Green Cross Code, and the basic tenets were “stop, look, listen.”
I believe that if we applied the Green Cross Code tenets to our own lives, not only would we see more, it’s inevitable we’d be more and have more because we’d believe more.
Wouldn’t You Like More Clarity?
Imagine waking up every morning, speaking to God and then being clear about your plans for that day. And even when you encounter obstacles, knowing that because of your constant fellowship with Him you’ll soon know how to walk over, through or around that obstacle?
That is how awesome our God is!
Your only job then is to take the time to stop, look (see) and listen, and then to move in the direction He tells you to go.
My prayer for you is even if you think you don’t have the time, that you consider the amount of time lost trying to figure things out all by yourself, when you have Father, Son, Holy Spirit as well as a whole host of angels ready and waiting to help unravel every problem so you achieve in life all God ordained for you to achieve.
Stay Blessed,
