Can Anyone Market Online?
This is a question I’m putting to you my readers really since as someone who consults with people to build and grow their business online, I personally have to dispel the myth that anyone can market online.
It could be that anyone can do it, but most people won’t.
And of course, this could also be true of offline marketing too.
The biggest issue I’ve come across over the years is that many people have read the sales pages and the great stories about how the broke man or woman living on the park bench made thousands of dollars in just weeks. And, call me naive, but I BELIVE some of these stories. But, not everyone has the same mindset and can accomplish these kinds of results.
One thing these people who have turned their lives around in a very short space of time have in common is that they have a mind to win. They DECIDE that nothing and no one will get in their way of success and they will do whatever it takes to make it online.
So what about the rest of them …
Well, many have good intentions but they either lack the technical skill to carry out even the basics online functions online and, they lack the knowledge to be able to implement or even manage the implementation.
Now, I suppose I’m trying to evoke some feedback here from people who have zero technical skills and or, little knowledge of how a business is run online since as yet, I have failed to come across a client who lacks both who has been successful online.
Some want it all done for them, which is fine, but if you want to outsource your business to a competent marketer, it’s like hiring a full-time marketing manager for your business and, how many people can afford to do that?
You see, it’s fine outsourcing to places like the Philippeans, but my experience is that they still need managing and most of them do great at tasks that involves the day-to-day stuff but most have very little idea about how to market.
So, shout it out to me peoples. I particularly want to hear from those who run a “hands off” Internet Business – who have little or no knowledge of online marketing and zero technical skills.
I appreciate your participation.
Until next time,

Your Blog is Not A Business
I just wrote a blog post over at TrishJonesDotcom but, I feel it’s so important that I thought I’d post it here too.
Today, I came across a post at Problogger about poor bloggers focusing too much on blog posts and the author of the blog post, David Risley outlined this in a way I suppose I’ve been finding difficult to articulate to my clients.
First of all, content is STILL important!
The deeper question David asks though is for people to consider what they are selling since, blogs are not businesses.
Most of my work is with small business owners and entrepreneurs who have an existing business and they want to add a blog to their marketing mix.
However, I am sometimes disappointed that these offline business owners, some of whom have brick and mortar businesses, start up online and expect to have a solid business in a matter of days with as little content as they can get away with and, no other online strategies to sell their products or services online.
So, the good news is that these people do already have something to sell.
But, there is sometimes a misunderstanding of the business elements that go on behind the scenes and unfortunately, some of my clients come to me after they’ve been privy to some of the hype about how blogging can make you big bucks. So even when you explain that the content is just the beginning, it’s hard for them to grasp. And yet, if for many of them, they are unique in their market because none of their competitors have a website or blog let alone a full blown online business.
Check out David Risley’s post over at Problogger, it’s well worth the read and I think for many, it will put blogs and blogging into perspective.
Until next time,
You Have To Produce And Promote!
The real answer to why only 3% succeed and how to know if YOU will be part of the 3% or the 97%.
This is an article written by Marlon Sanders and I personally could not have said this better myself. It’s time to start taking action if you want to see results in your Internet Business since no amount of expensive home study courses or online courses is going to get you results without you putting in some elbow grease.
The bold emphasis is mine because I really want to shatter people’s illusions that making money online is magic. And I’m personally fed up of hearing people whinge because after publishing 6 posts on their brand new blog, they haven’t built a list! If you’ve been sold this hype, the truth is, like any other business, marketing online takes work. You have to provide good quality content, encourage your readers to do something and then you can watch your list grow.
I feel so strongly about Marlon’s article that I’ve decided that “If ANYONE wants to work with me in the future, they have to read this article first!” I almost feel as though I even want them to sign a disclaimer!
********
Let’s get it straight.
All the money in this business is made by being a producer, not a consumer. Now, being a consumer is NOT bad or wrong.
But here’s the secret: You consume to produce.
Let me share a fact: It’s been estimated that 97% of customers of info products don’t make anything. Why?
Because they never produce and promote.
They just consume and make up reasons why they can’t do it, why it won’t work for them, why they are different, why their situation is different, and why later not now is the time to start.
True story.
This fact is true of ANY info product business where you are teaching people how to do things. Whether it’s how to invest in stocks, real estate or anything else.
So realize this happens in EVERY industry, not just mine.
It’s really crucial that you get this straight in your head. For one thing, in the U.S., you are supposed to publish “typical results.” No one does. Why?
Because the typical result is 3%. Now, colleges do fair slightly better. 80% of the people who graduate with a degree NEVER work in the field they got their degree in.
So if 4 years of college and $50,000 or $100,000 can’t get people a $30,000 a year entry level job, why is it that a small minority of people with a chip on their shoulder, think they can buy a $97 course and with almost NO effort grab six figures?
Why is that? It makes no sense. That a human being with intelligence could think that baffles me. People want something where someone else gives them a defined set of instructions, they do it with no risk, and they get a check.
THAT is called a “job,” not a business.
You don’t push a few buttons and money magically appears
– NOT until you have a list or form agreements with people who DO have lists. Then, yeah, you push a few buttons and money appears.
This is not a job. It’s a business. And by nature, business is volatile, uncertain and there is risk involved and no guarantees. If you can’t deal with that fact, keep your day job. Honestly.
If you’re lazy and think you’ll make 100 g’s a year by being dumb, stupid, in-informed and uneducated, keep your day job. But you’re about to be fired from there — so you better have a check up from the neck up.
There IS no room in the world for people who cannot produce and promote, even if all you’re promoting is yourself at your job.
On the flip side, if you take the number of people who producE and promote at least 3 products with a degree of intelligence, diligence and effort, I imagine the results are pretty good, if not really good.
The reason 97% don’t get results is 90% or more didn’t REALLY give it their best shot. They stuck a toe in the water and “tried” just to see if “this thing is real.”
Well guess what?
That isn’t how it works.
You don’t read one book on chess, and enter a chess tournament to see “if this book is worth anything.” It’s a skill that takes practice and repetition.
“Yeah, but Marlon, all the sales letters say it’s easy.”
Actually, a few do but most by respected, legitimate marketers don’t. They promise to show you how THEY and maybe a few customers have gotten great results far above average (remember, the average result is nothing because people don’t implement at all or precious little).
Now, I LOVE being a consumer. I have vast libraries in my home because I love to read and learn new, exciting things. And when I speak, I speak from experience. I prefer consuming to producing.
Why?
1. Things go wrong when you produce.
The software doesn’t work, you can’t figure this or that out. Something doesn’t work right. That can lead to feelings of frustration or even feelings that somehow something is wrong with YOU that you can’t figure this out.
But follow me on this: Your FEARS of your own stupid feelings of failure or frustration. NOT of what it takes to get things done.
Murphy (Murphy’s law…look it up) is a part of any business.
2. Nothing works the first time
Write it down.
It never works out the way you want the first time. If that wasn’t true, then sports teams would only hold ONE practice session before they played games that counted.
Think about it.
Even the great Tiger Woods and the greatest athletes in the world practice over and over. Yet, to my absolute mystery, somehow a few people think they can have the Internet lifestyle by reading one ebook and working 15 minutes a day.
Please. Get real.
There IS an Internet lifestyle. But you pay your dues first. You learn, you practice, you test, you tweak and you learn some more. Now, I’ve seen that compressed into literally very short time frames.
My friend Jason Fladlien is 20 months into the Game and bringing in $30,000 to $50,000 a month BUT he has PRODUCED dozens of products in that time span and promoted them to a small list of only a few thousand names (but a list growing rapidly now).
Doesn’t matter you have a small list. THAT is how you start out. You start out, you produce and you hit singles or bunts to start with NOT grand slams.
If someone DOES hit a grand slam their first time at bat at product creation, THAT isn’t typical.
Typical is like me — my first products hardly sold. Like my one on how to avoid TV Repair Ripoff that I advertised in the TV Guide. If your TV was broke, would you be READING the TV Guide? Those are the dumb mistakes beginners make.
It’s part of the normal learning process.
Are you a NEWBIE? If you are, you can STILL produce $10 reports, little pdf’s or audios you sell, simple things.
Get in the HABIT of producing and promoting and not just consuming info until you are a bloated info glut.
I got a real problem with people who want and expect something for nothing. For people who think an ebook or even a coaching program will magically open the doors to the Internet lifestyle.
You produce and promote.
Like breathing.
Do it over and over and sooner or later you’ll pretty good at it and that’s when your luck finds you.
That’s when your money finds you.
That’s when success happens overnight.
Now it helps if you produce and promote things with the perception of value that people want to pay for. That helps a lot.
=================== So What DOES Work? ===================
What works is to produce while you consume. Start building your list, creating and promoting products.
THIS is what works.
Even if you’re not competent, even if you make mistakes, even if you get frustrated, even if you don’t feel you have the right to create a product, even if your web page is kinda ugly, even if you aren’t confident in what you’re doing, even if you don’t know everything, even if you aren’t a good writer, even if you sound less than perfect on audio.
NO EXCUSES.
You get your assets busy and you produce and promote.
Produce and promote.
Produce and promote.
Repeat after me.
Produce and promote.
Produce and promote.
It’s a mantra.
Say it now. Produce and promote. Produce and promote.
Stop over analyzing.
Stop your second guessing.
Stop making excuses.
This is the ONLY mantra that virtually guarantees your success….I say “virtually” because not everyone succeeds
– at anything. Not everyone succeeds at golf, tennis or chess. Business is no different.
But as a general rule, if you persistently and relentlessly create, produce and promote products that are wanted and needed to audiences known to be passionate about buying and spending money, it’ll be hard for you to NOT succeed.
This is the straight and narrow path to success — the one I have been teaching and preaching since 1998 and before.
This is the EVERGREEN path to success. The money you spend to learn it won’t be wasted because it’s a skill.
Producing and promoting never “stops working.”
Back in 0 B.C. people were producing crops and promoting or selling them. They were producing cows or donkeys or whatever and promoting and selling them.
This is evergreen.
It’s not as sexy or exciting as sending one email and having 100 g’s come in the door. The most read email I’ve had recently was the Terry Dean report I gave away about how he brought in 100 g’s by sending 1 email.
Which is all true.
But he had a list of qualified prospects to send that email to. But it shows that even on my list of people who hopefully read this ezine every week, people are entranced with the idea of pushing a button and having their bills paid for the year.
Get real. Honestly. Aren’t we both adults here? Aren’t you aware that the path to success lies in producing and promoting and not magic. Cavemen believed in magic. In third world countries where books and education are lacking, people believe in magic.
But you aren’t a caveman, you have books and the Internet and you’re in charge of educating yourself.
So cut the crap, forget the magic and get your assets busy producing and promoting. And if you don’t want to do that, keep your day job and seduce yourself into believing that your job is about something OTHER than producing and promoting, which of course it isn’t.
You just don’t have responsibility for the ultimate product and the exchange obtained for it. It’s a matter of what you FEEL you’re responsible for.
Those people who go in forms and complain that they “tried Internet marketing” and it didn’t work.
Did they produce and promote? Produce and promote?
No. They tried promoting affiliate products to a really low quality list they built using questionable, unproven methods because they wanted to “try it and see if it works” instead of committing to do it.
So someday when the NEWS hits the fan that “97% don’t make it in Internet marketing,” ask yourself out of those 97%, how many do you REALLY think followed the mantra 3, 4 or 5 times?
You know why people have jobs?
Because they are comfortable letting someone else do the hard work of producing and promoting, and they just want to be a cog in the wheel without much responsibility for producing and promoting the thing that is actually sold to the end buyer.
You STILL produce and promote on a job. But you have defined steps with a known outcome. That’s called a job.
An entrepreneur lives in changing markets and an uncertain world where any one product may or may not sell jack.
That’s life. That’s marketing.
You can do surveys and market research to put the odds in your favor. But it’s STILL uncertain. The cure is to produce and promote a LOT! Not a little.
So I got a question for you.
This next week are you ONLY consuming?
Are you ONLY reading my ezine?
Are you making excuses for all the reasons producing and promoting won’t work for you and how you need to wait for some reason, and why your equipment isn’t good enough, your voice isn’t good enough, your writing isn’t good enough, you don’t have the confidence and you aren’t sure it’ll work.
Or are you going to shut the muck up and produce and promote?
Really, this choice is yours.
Do you want a job?
Or do you want the Internet lifestyle?
If it’s the latter, start producing and promoting.

Don't Let Recession Hold You Back
You know what, turn off the TV! Stop reading the news about the recession! It’s crippling your business and your success.
Some months ago, Rich Schefren did a 24 hour Ustream live incentive. Personally, I just couldn’t turn it off – it’s great. During the live streamcast, Rich interviewed a copywriter, Clayton Johnson, and he said that if you focus on helping others build businesses, during a financial downturn, you can actually captitalize on this.
People are fed up of being laid off the minute there’s a hint of financial distress
People don’t want to be “in” on the Rat Race and so when laid off, many people look to starting up their own business.
These people are usually aware of the failure rate in starting a new business but, at least they can give 100% to their own business and walk out with 100% minus costs. When running their own business, they don’t have a boss telling them what skills they should have and what aspects of their biggest strengths are not required for their business – boy did I hate this when I worked in the corporate world. When did these people suddenly become my maker?
Capitalising on your strengths is a huge must if you want to succeed in any business venture and there is no exception to this rule during a recession.
Anyway, I digress …
The point I really wanted to make here is …
Just because there is a downturn in the economy, it is not the end of the world!
There is still enough money to go around to pay your bills, buy you a decent holiday, allow you to eat well, you just have to get that money from a new and different source.
It’s time to dig!
Pearls, diamond and gold are not found on the surface. You have to dig for them and so long as you’re digging in the right places, you’re persistent and consistent, you have to strike gold at some point.
This is why the old saying is “hidden treasures.”
So, what’s the difference between Bill Gates, Richard Branson, Sir Allan Sugar and you? Bill Gates, Richard Branson and Sir Allan Sugar are “diggers,” who refuse to give up digging.
So, how do you keep digging during a financial downturn?
If your online business does not focus on business building, then focusing on solving people’s problems will not diminish because of the recession. People still want to know how to get rid of migrains, how to manage ADD, how to fix their PC etc.
And the great thing is, the Internet is termed “WWW” for good reason … it’s the World Wide Web, and so just because recession is prevalent in one part of the world, it’s unusual for it to be world wide (though I appreciate it’s pretty much hit the major countries so far). But, it’s time to get creative and offer your products and services to others around the world. Information products allow you to do this.
I could make this a long post, but I highly recommend that you grab a copy of Rich Schefren’s report “The Entrepreneurial Emergency.” In it, he will tell you the difference between having potential in your business brought about by your knowledge, skills etc versus what “constraints” you need to overcome in order to be successful.
This report is relevant no matter what business model you’re using to make money online and it really gets to the heart of why you should be focusing on business building and not on the website or blog which, are just tools to help you market and grow your business.
Get the report now, enjoy the read and, go implement. Oh and for the sceptics – this is not an affiliate link … I just felt it necessary to share this great resource with you.

Website Promotion is Not a Technology Issue
A few weeks ago, I had a poll on my blog asking my readers to tell me where they were getting stuck in terms of promoting their site and marketing online.
Interestingly, no one concluded that the technology was the issue when it comes to website promotion or marketing online and yet when I go onto some of the Internet Marketing forums, it seems that what people think they need is more “know how.”
They don’t just want to know how to put up their own blog or website, they want to be masters of graphic design or coding because they feel that this is what is necessary in order to get the job done and succeed online.
This myth has been endorsed partly because after spending thousands of dollars on home study courses, they have little or no money to pay for other services to get their business up and running online. This forces them to turn to doing it themselves which, is fine if you have the time, patience and ability but what invaribly happens is that after spending months trying to get either a blog or static website up, they lose the real motivation for marketing online … in essence, their dreams get buried in a sea of frustrating technology.
I actually do not do any of my own graphics despite the fact that I build blogs and websites.
And I’ll tell you something else … “I have zero intentions of trying to learn how to!”
I spent about £300 (about $600) once on a graphics package and ended up giving it away. I know enough to get by, but it certainly isn’t good enough for display on a commercial site. But, I refused to let the graphics be a stumbling block to what I’m good at – building blogs and consulting.
So how do I get by?
I outsource all of my graphics work which, by the way, isn’t what makes a blog or website work as many people think.
Look, I’m happy to use Virgin Airlines whenever I fly to the States, but I’m so glad Richard Branson isn’t my pilot! I’m not saying he can’t fly a plane, but I bet he’s not as proficient or as patient as the pilots his company hires that fly aeroplanes for a living … I hope so anyway!
So why is it people on the forums think they need more “know how” and yet my readers are more concerned with traffic, sales and leads?
I personally think it’s down to mindset. My experience has been that people who are new to business and decide to start out by using the Internet as their marketing medium tend to think they have to do it themselves rather than ask “who can I hire to do it for me?”
And of course, because they’re told that marketing online is cheap, they will willingly max out their credit cards using the last $2000 they had to buy a home study course, but then find that they have to do everything themselves because they don’t have enough money to buy other services.
Even worse, and I don’t want to offend anyone but it needs to be said … they contact me and ask me to build them a blog for free or for cheap or for a trade because they’ve just spent $5,000 with two of the top Internet Marketers and they’ve got kids and they can’t afford my services.
I’ll tame it down in terms of what I really want to say to these people, but I sure know those same people wouldn’t have told the guru’s they purchased the course from that they can’t afford their course so can they have it for free, or cheap or for a trade.
If technology really isn’t your strong point, you can use getafreelancer.com or elance.com to find some great talent who will build you a blog “cheap.” Just be certain to ask lots of questions about their skills since in my experience, some of them are just desperate for a project and will tell you they can do anything when they can’t.
Whatever decision you make though, remember that promoting your business online isn’t about how much technology you know, but how well you promote yourself, your business and your products.
The most successful people in the Internet Marketing world are not those who do the building, but those who do the promoting.
Until next time,

What Will Smith Taught Me About Online Marketing
I recently watched a YouTube video of Will Smith being interviewed by Jonathan Ross here in the UK and apart from the fact that I find Will Smith naturally funny, there were two things that he said that really resonated with me:
In the first video, he was asked by Jonathan, “what gets you angry” and to which Will Smith replied, “big fat liars” which reminded me of why so many newbies on the Internet are skeptical of purchasing new products. Because in the past and and even now, there are some big fat liars who will sell you anything based on hype and make out that anyone can do it and in fact, you can make millions from your 4th bedroom, wearing only your PJ’s.
And yes, I know of many Internet Marketers who built million dollar businesses from their bedroom so, I’m not dismissing the fact that this is true and, I understand people’s skepticism about purchasing products from “snake oil” marketers but, on the other hand, in video two, Will tells the story of how he made a load of money and then lost it all when the IRS came and claimed all he had, including his home.
After he lost it all, he borrowed some cash from a friend and moved to LA where he hung around outside The Pauley Pavilion where the big names gathered for three months until one evening, he had a converstion with a man, that would change his life … he gave him the part for the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire.
Are you listening and reading now …
He stood outside The Pauley Pavilion, LA, for THREE MONTHS! He would just speak to these guys and then through association, he landed himself a major part in an American Sitcom.
He didn’t give up, he was persistent and determined to win, because he knew what he wanted.
Sadly, these are some of the attributes or characteristics that are often missing when people begin marketing online. Whilst skeptics of the “Get Rich Quick” schemes, they still have a misconception that they can make a lot of money in little time with little effort and, with very little or no money.
And I’m being transparent with you now, I promoted my own workshop using the marketing spiel of building a business with very little money and for all of the delegates, I built them a blog but, not one of them did anything with it!
They still had the “build a site” mentality instead of a marketing mindset which acknowledges that the blog is only the tool to help you achieve what you want to achieve online.
And, I actually don’t agree that anyone can start an online business either … okay to an extent I do … anyone can start, but it takes a particular breed to finish!!
Putting up a blog or website isn’t and never will be Internet Marketing. Promoting and marketing the services, affiliate products or whatever you blog about IS marketing.
So be honest with yourself now, how many programs have you purchased, got half way through and abandoned because in your view it didn’t work?
Do you think if Will Smith had given up even after the eighth week he would have been the star of the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire, played Ali or starred in Men in Black?
Will Smith knew what he wanted and he wasn’t going to stop until he got it.
Now the question is ….
Do You Know What You Want?
Because, if you don’t know what you want, you’ll just keep jumping on the wave of whatever new phenominon hits the web instead of focusing on your dream.
Mike Filsaime, Internet Marketer, wrote a report about a year ago which really was the turning point in my life. He talked about being on your boat going to Tahiti which, is your dream destination but each time another boat passes by, the skipper suggests that some other island is the most fantastic place to be so you change course and head for this new lsland. Five years later, you die on the boat, never having accomplished your dream and never having reached any of the Islands because you kept changing the course of your destination and direction.
After reading Mike’s report, I stopped that day and took stock of my life … what did I want? Was I following my dream of someone elses? What did success mean to me and, how did it differ from those of some of my mentors?
I had met so many Internet Marketers in previous years who boasted about their big house, big cars (pleural) and big boat and for a start, the big boat just does not entice me … I’m happy to be passenger on someone elses boat! I don’t want to live in a huge house (though I’ll be happy to own one) and, I’d be overly satisfied with one big car … so long as it’s a Merc!
My point is though, you cannot measure your success by what someone else wants or needs because it will throw you off course. So, the first thing you have to do is be truthful to yourself about what your deep rooted desires are. If you’re not mad on taking exoctic holidays, don’t feel guility. If like me, you’d be very happy being a passenger on another person’s boat, don’t feel guilty. Focus on what you want to accomplish, what you want to achieve and not only will it be easier to focus, marketing will become much easier and, it will be easier to achieve your goals.
As Jim Rohn said, “the bigger the reason why, the easier the how.” Purpose brings persistences and persistence gets results.
Whatever you do, be like Will Smith. Be persistent in the pursuit of your dreams and never give up.
Until next time,

How Do I Start Blogging For Business?
If you’re a business owner but you’re new to blogging and, you’re anything like I was when I was a beginner, you have an idea about what a blog is and why have one, but you don’t know how to get started and, you’re confused because there are simply just too many options.
Do you use Blogger.com or a WordPress.com to set up a free blog hosting account, use MySpace or one of the other social networking sites to set up your blog or, build a blog using your own hosting account and domain name.
I’ve written several articles in the past about the various options but in terms of which platform to use, I personally advise against using free hosted solutions such as blogger.com or WordPress.com if you are building a business blog.
Why? Because there is nothing like “owning your blog.“
Do something that violates the terms and services of these hosted sites, and they’ll delete your blog leaving you with no chance of reinstatement … all your effort and hard work gone with one mouse click.
My personal preference for starting a blog is to use the free software you can download from WordPress.org (not to be confused with WordPress.com), because it’s the most popular, is used by many of the top Internet Marketers and has a myriad of plugins you can use to give your blog more functionality. The big plus is that the software is uploaded to your own server, using your own domain name and therefore, you “own” your blog.
In the long-term, you’ll be pleased you chose not to go the “hosted solutions” route because if you want to create an authority blog, yourname.com looks much better than yourname.wordpress.com – wouldn’t you agreee?
Sure you can move your blog to another blog platform later on or build it on your own hosting account, but whilst moving from one blog platform to another can be done, it’s not always plain sailing and no one wants to build up traffic and credibility and then have to start again on another blog platform.
My motto is “start right and it will save you fixing later.”
Leave me a comment if you get stuck and could do with a little help!

Oh My Gosh! Where Have All My Blog Posts Gone!?
Yep, if you’re one of my regular readers or you know this blogs been around for some years, you’ll have good reason to think I’ve shut up shop and gone home.
That’s not the case though but I have taken a seriously drastic measure and decided to rebuild TrishJones.com from ground zero … except the new design which, I still like. But it means that I’ve removed every one of my previous posts and I’m starting again with my blog marketing strategy from scratch – on this blog at least.
Why would I do such a crazy thing?
The truth is, since turning my web site into a blog in 2006, I’ve changed direction a few times and well, it felt as though the blog had a mish-mash of articles which in my view were not focused enough for my target market.
I’ve been working with more and more service professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners over the last 18 months who want to use their blog as a marketing tool to attract more clients online but, whilst they want to know “how to” attract clients with their blogs, most neither have the time or interest to build their own blog which is why they hire me.
And, if you weren’t aware of it, I built my consulting business from scratch via my TrishJones.com blog … Which makes it seem even crazier now that I’d decide to “smash it up” and start again during a recession of all times. But trust me, I’m not killing the golden goose, I’m fattening it!
In addition to wanting to give TrishJones.com more focused direction, some “smart alec” decided to hack my blog last week resulting in me losing all my page rank and, my home page was not even being indexed by the search engines. But it’s cool, I didn’t panic but it did spur me on to do what I’d felt like doing for months. So message to hacker … ”you meant it for my harm but God meant it for my good!!”
So, TrishJones.com is going to be focusing more on blog marketing strategies particularly for those who want to use their blog as a marketing tool to attract more clients or leads and less on the technical elements of blogging.
I’m sorry … I’ve had this conversation in some of my older blogs and I have to reiterate it here … my target market are more interested in building their business and making money than knowing the ins and outs of designs and html and so I’m following an age old marketing principle of “giving the client what the client wants.”
All of this change does not mean that I’m giving up on affiliate marketing though! In fact, it’s something I encourage my clients to embrace so the Internet can work for them even when they’re not.
I hope as a reader you’ll appreciate and enjoy a more laser focused TrishJones.com and, if you’re an entrepreneur, small business owner or service professional, I hope you find enough evidence here to convince you, you need to blog!
Until next time,
Trish
