Making Your Ads Viral

One Of The Fastest Ways To Build Your Database

Viral marketing is simply word-of-mouth marketing online and is a technique used by many online marketers to get the word out about their website through a social network, which when used well can literally spread like an epidemic.  

If you want to make your ads viral, instead of offering a free report or audio download, offer a great little ebook for free! 

And how do you make it viral?  Offer the receiver (and the future readers) distribution rights, with the option to customize the ebook…And, you're off to a great start!

You may or may not make much profit up front. That's fine and it's really shouldn't be your primary intention.

Your main goal in offering a viral ebook is to spread your ebooks and reports out to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible!

Just remember that all those ebooks have your links within them and that in itself will create the stampede of traffic you're looking for, as well as give you some extra cash if you've included affiliate links.

And in preparation for the sampede, be ready with a system that will turn visitors into subscribers and/or into buyers and then focus on turning those buyers into repeat buyers so you continue to increase your customer value. 

Naturally you have to know how to create powerful ads that get responses, otherwise no matter how good your ebook is, if you can't convince your visitors that it's worth downloading, it won't get read.

So, the best starting point in creating a good ad is to create a powerful headline that promises an important benefit or solution. If you're offering a free ebook or report, list the biggest benefit your book offers…

Always sell the benefit!

And remember that your headline has to grab the readers' attention and make them want to read the rest of the ad!  So take your time in creating it, and make it interesting for people to read.

The next thing to do is make them an offer they can't refuse!  In this case it's going to be your 'free' ebook!  You may or may not want to include 'ethical' bribes or bonuses, but I would personally avoid doing this because I want them to focus on reading my ebook  and not get carried away with the bonuses. 

You could of course send them a special bonus after a few days as a thank you for reading your book which of course reminds them to read it and sweetens the pot in preparation of you making your killer offer.

And finally, don't forget to make a clear 'call to action.'  Tell them how they can get hold of your 'free' ebook and if you're using a website url, tell them to "click here" or "go to this site to get it now!"  And if you're using an autoresponder address, tell them exactly where to send the mail.  In fact, a link to the address is always better. 

Finally, keep your ad short, clear, and to the point. You don't have much space to work with in classified ads so you can't afford to be too wordy.

And one final note on making your ebook viral, consider adding a 'Tell A Friend' script so if they like it, they can send it on to a friend.  Not everyone is in favor of this method because it means a possible missed opportunity in capturing email addresses and encouraging people to come to your website.

If you're not in favor of just adding the 'Tell A Friend' script, consider using eBook Pro, by The Internet Marketing Center, which forces users to provide their contact details (usually just name and email address) before they can open and read the ebook.  Slick eh?

The really cool thing is that when you do capture their contact information, you can get their permission to email them in the future, using an opt-in offer which is automatically generated by the software.  

These are by no means the only way of spreading the world using viral marketing but they are an excellent start to bringing a stream of targeted traffic to your website.
