Search online is changing and yet so many SEO experts are sticking old ways of doing things, either out of ignorance (you don’t know what you don’t know), because it’s easier to stick to what they’ve always done or they’re resistant to change.
Whatever the reasons, Google is forging ahead, with or without them and a term that we need to become more familiar with is Semantic Search.

Google are moving toward Semantic Search, but it doesn’t mean that all the other SEO strategies are extinct. I use an integrated approach to search which includes the usual on-page and off-page SEO strategies, but there are the social signals that contribute to search that cannot be ignored.
David’s video is a great introduction on the direction Google is taking search.
