Hi, I’m Trish Jones, and I help entrepreneurs, independent professionals and small businesness owners get their businesses online so they can maximise sales.
I posted my first website on the Internet, to market my coaching services in 2002, after months of struggling with online site builders namely, Dreamweaver, FrontPage and NetObjects. And then, in 2005 my webmaster offered to add a blog to my Christian women’s website to help build traffic to my site as well as build my credibility.
Well, when the site was complete, I started clicking through the pages of my lovely looking site but then I arrived at the blog and I’m telling you, I was alarmed … A blue blob (the default WordPress theme), that didn’t even look anything like my lovely new site! What’s more, I had NO idea what to do with this blog, and I really mean no idea.
After 3 days of searching online, I found a video tutorial website that would teach me how to blog – I was done with ebooks. Soon, not only did I have a customized blog, I realized that WordPress really provided a solution that small business owners and entrepreneurs could use to build their business online.
Today, we build entire sites with WordPress
WordPress has become a powerful content management system which businesses can use to build their businesses online. What started out a blog software, is fast becoming one of the most flexible content management systems.
As for me, I ripped down my old TrishJones.com website and made that into a blog and what you see here on this site is a marketing system that I have used to build my consulting business, increase my revenue and, it consistently brings me Free Traffic. In fact, I confess, I have never used Pay Per Click advertising.
All of my traffic have been from free organic listings in the search engines.
This same system is what I now use for my client’s which is based on WordPress, combined with an easy to use, yet powerful WordPress theme that will give you a dynamic website that is easy to maintain, fun to market and is loved up by the search engines.
And as I said earlier, for most entrepreneurs, independent professionals and small business owners, this system is all you need to get started online.
So before you go and download yet another one of those $99 flash templates that ends up cluttering your hard disk, because you have no idea how to customize or get it online or, before you go and spend thousands of dollars on a “pretty” looking website that bring you zero traffic and make you no money, I encourage you to consider what I believe to be the fastest, easiest and most economical way to get online today …

I’m married to Chris and we have been married 21 years. We have an adorable 8 year old daughter, Elodie Christina, who keeps us young and, in 2001, just 4 1/2 months before Elodie was born, Chris and I completed our MBA. Who said learning can’t be fun!
