when i remove the link as per your video i get a message ‘this plugin does not have a valid header’
Then the plug in disappears altogether

        hi trish

thanks for your help. i thought i was there but maybe i did something or didn’t do something. maybe they have now incorporated a code to stop people removing the link. i think if they persist in resisting the removal of the link, users will not bother with it.
        best wishes

          hi again trish

it is not the removal of the link that is causing the problem. when i click update in plugin editor, the error message appears whether i edit or not. do you think it is something to do with permissions

          best
