Getting Started Online

As with any project, getting started on the Internet is the biggest hurdle holding most people back from marketing online.

There are so many resources, so many ‘how to’ e-books, seminars, telephone conferences that many people get overwhelmed even before they begin the process of geting started with marketing online.

So the whole intention of this website is to get you started on the Internet with a complete A to Z guide from choosing what market you want to be in, getting your first website online and then getting more visitors not just to come to your website, but to buy from your website.

You may be worried about getting started because you’ve heard all the negative feedback about people failing online, and it’s true… approximately 90% of all online businesses fail, but you need to know the reason why they fail so you don’t fall victim for the same reason.

So many people fail online simply because they fail to identify an easy to target niche!

But making money online is easy and can be summed up as:

“Picking a profitable niche - one that’s easy to target - creating or selling a product or service to solve a problem for that niche, getting people to visit your website and then making money from those website visitors”

Can you do this?  Of course you can!  This is the same principle on which high street shops sell products.  Yes it’s true that they have the added advantage of people walking past their shop, but if their shops stock things people don’t want to buy, it won’t be long befofe you see "Closing Down Sale!"

You do however have at least one advantage over a High Street shop when marketing online… you immediately create yourself a global business.  You’re not limited to a city or having the huge start-up costs of opening new shops either in your same town, city or country.

And finding a profitable niche market online is much easier than you think and all of this will be covered on this website.

Right now, I want you to go to the section of this website that says ‘Get Started Here!’  You can take a step-by-step approach to marketing on the Internet, using the same method I use, which happens to be the same methods used by many of the well known Internet Marketers.

If you want the very best internet coaching or internet mentoring, then Trish Jones is here to help you, the Internet newbie or intermediate, get started and then get more from your online business.

To your online success,

The X-Factor Finale…

Leona Lewis AND Ray Quinn have the real X-Factor… They NEVER gave up… and neither should you!

Well, I’m all teared out!  Leona Lewis has won the X-Factor 2006 and I am so pleased for her but, I know that there are so many great things in store for Ray Quinn who in my view is also a winner.

Having seen a few of the Pop Idol series at my mums, I was adamant that X-Factor wasn’t for me and there was no way I was going to spend my precious time watching Simon Cowell destroy people’s dreams.  That was until I was forced to watch one episode of the X-Factor because I was at my mothers for dinner with the rest of my siblings and their families.  That’s when I got hooked!

At one point whilst watching my first ever episode of theX-Factor, I turned to my husband, Chris, and said, "please kick my butt if I ever say or indicate that I’m not as good as other marketers out there."  Why did I say that?  Some of those auditioning were actually shocked when the judges told them they were rubbish!

From the guy who sang "Let Me Entertain you, " with absolutely no movement even in his eyes, to Champaign, whom Simon labelled "Cheap Sherry," these guys were convinced they were good enough to win the competiton and go on to be produce No:1 record labels!  Yet, many of the people who audtioned had absolutely zero talent for singing, except for in the bath tub and even then for some of them, I would have to go as far as saying "don’t even go there!"

Am I now trying to destroy their dreams?  No way!  I’m just saying that many of the people who really couldn’t sing to save their lives, travelled to be at the audition, queued for hours, performed on the X-Factor live, on national television to tell the world that they were talanted singers and they were prepared to look like idiots to get that message across!

Now I’m not suggesting you go apply for the2007 X-Factor - if you can’t sing, like me, that is - and neither am I suggesting you try to succeed in an area that you just don’t have any talent for.  But, it is up to you to get your message out there about who you are, what you represent and what you’re good at, even if you have setbacks and even though it might be uncomfortable for you.

The X-Factor isn’t just about the final prize and becoming the big hit, it’s about NEVER giving up on your dreams.  And yes, Simon Cowell may have told you that you can’t sing, and I might think you’ve got a nerve going on national TV screeching like a cat, but unless you live your life half comatosed, you know what your deepest desires are and if they’re God given, not even Simon Cowell can stop you!

Leona Lewis and Ray Quinn had to put some serious time into practicing prior to the X-Factor auditions, and they didn’t just get there by spending years singing in the bath tub!  You check out their profiles, (Leona LewisRay Quinn), they were already pursuing their dreams and X-Factor was just another avenue.

They also had to go through the pain and discomfort of facing the judges, the possiblity of being rejected or even humiliated on national TV, but they were convinced of their talent, they had a passion for singing and they had a "never give up" attitude.

From a PA/Receptionist from Hackney South London a few months ago, Leona Lewis, 21 years old is now living her dream.  And there is no doubt Ray Quinn an 18 year old former child actor (Brookside) will be living his dream very shortly.  In fact, Simon Cowell announced on the Xtra-Factory tonight that he’s taking him under his wings and even joked… "put it this way, I’m your daddy."

And was it all uphill for them?  No way!  Poor Ray Quinn was told during the first weeks at ‘the house’ that he hadn’t made it and sobbed his little heart out, but still remaining positive, only to discover that Simon Cowell changed his mind and brought him back into the competition.  And, as they’ve mentioned so many times in the past few weeks, Ray Quinn was seen as the underdog who was just prepared to take anything that was thrown at him, even the insults.

Leona lost her voice part way through the competition and thought it was all over for her, but  guess what, she never gave up and now she’s reaping the rewards.

I personally wish Leona Lewis and Ray Quinn the very best that the future holds for them… and to all of you who refuse to give up on your dreams, you may never appear on the X-Factor, but living your dreams will not just make a difference to your life, it will create ripples that will impact on the lives of many others… so NEVER give up because it’s not just about you!

Blessings,

Is Self Esteem The Foundation To Success?

Is your self-esteem holding you back from getting what you want?

This morning, I had a very interesting conversation with my 4 year old daughter as I was driving her to school and she’s always saying to me "mummy, you love everybody don’t you."  And in the past, I’ve told her that if she remembers nothing else mummy has told her, not to forget this…

It’s easier to go through life loving people than it is hating them.

But this morning I knew I could go deeper into the subject and so when she made her usual statement about me loving everybody, I said to her "you know why I can love everybody?  It’s because first and foremost I love God and I feel his love in and on my life, but almost as important, it’s because I love myself."

Yep, you heard right, Trish loves Trish!

But most people, even if they know the Bible miss the important element of the second commandment, which is why they find it so difficult get on with people.  The second commandment is this:

That you love your neighbour as yourself

When I told my daugther this earlier today, there was no hesitation… "I love myself mummy!" and my reply was "and don’t let anyone tell you you shouldn’t baby!"

I think it’s time to get out Whitney Houston’s ‘Greatest Love Of All’ CD.  Anyway, I digress…

I attended T Harv Eker’s Millionaire Mind Event in the US last year and he said something that will be imprinted on my mind until the day I die, and you’ll hear me quote it often, but it’s that important.  He said

"How you do anything is how you do everything"

Think about this carefully and ask yourself what it has to do with self-esteem.  In my opinion, it goes to the root of how we’re feeling about ourselves because how you treat other people is just a reflection of how you feel about you.

The problem in this world isn’t that people don’t love each other, the problem in this world is that people don’t love themselves and it permeates everything they do in life, their attitude to life, to other people and ultimately, in their personal and business life.

So, is self esteem important to success?  I believe it is 100% because you can’t give what you don’t got!  A bit of slang here, but I want to get my message across.

Your’e not in business for you, you’re in business to serve others so if you don’t love you, you can’t love other people and even if you think this has served you well so far and you’ve made a shed load of money, I got news for you, if you’re not happy, you’re not successful!

If you can’t go to bed at night and feel good about how you treated people, how you made your money and what you did that will take you forward as well as the people you dealt with, I’ve got more news for you…

You’re a MISERABLE failure!

I’m sorry, I don’t know how to dress it up any other way.

I know that life presents its challenges and I know that things happen that can change the very course of our lives, but you do have a choice and you also deserve to be able to love and be loved, to be happy and make someone else happy and to succeed and help someone else succeed.

Give yourself a dose of Whitney Houston’s ‘Greatest Love of All’ and start "learning to love yourself" because it truly is the greatest ‘human’ love of all.

Blessings to you,

Does Google Sandbox Sites or Links?

Clearing up some speculation about the Google Sandbox

There have been much talk of late about the Google Sandbox and whether in fact it really exists or is this just another scare tactic by some Internet Marketers or indeed some conspiracy theory by Google themselves.

The Google Sandbox was introduced in 2004 and since then, it’s been one of the most discussed subjects on the Internet when it comes to Google Page Rank.

So What is the Sandbox?

Simply put, the sandbox is a probation period a site has to go through, before it achieves any ranks, even for non-popular keywords.  But the question now being raised is whether the Sandbox applies to sites or for links?

A lot of people refer to their sites as being Sandboxed. But according to 01webmarketing.com, this is not  not right. Newly achieved links are sandboxed, not newly hosted sites.

So the question is, why this misconception? Since new websites will have new links which are sandboxed, most of the new sites experience this sandbox problem. Even the older sites experience the sandbox effect for the newly generated inbound links and according to Peter Hoggan, “Sandbox takes PR (page rank) and back link credit and puts them on probation for a period of time say 2-4 months.”

Once the sites come out of the Sandbox, they start ranking for their targeted keywords like any normal website does. For many, a Google Sandbox might seem end of the world. However, at best it will only delay the ranks a site can achieve, by a couple of months. If yours is a site that is here to stay for long, should a couple of months delay really matter?

I suppose this could very much depend on whether you’re relying strictly on free search or whether you’re happy to pay for traffic via Google Adwords during the time that you’re site isn’t being indexed.

What’s your views about the Google Sandbox?

For The Entrepreneurs Who Want Twins - The Men Too!

Why Multiple Streams of Income Isn’t The Best Path For The Entrepreneur

"So, why are you trying to birth two babies at once?"

This was exactly what my coach said to me over a year ago when I was trying to set up my online business AND build my network marketing business.

The advice made sound sense because I was givng my all to network marketing - because it was new territory for me - yet the thing I was most passionate about was taking a back seat.  Logic had taken over from my passion because I was thinking along the sames lines many entreprenuers do "how can I make some money now."

This isn’t a bad thing, but when you spread yourself too thin, you’re going to struggle to give any ‘real’ focus to any of your projects.  Needless to say, my network marketing business bombed out!  What I learnt from the experience in terms of marketing, I now apply to my area of passion… "Women," particularly work from home moms and stay at home moms who want to build an online business, as well as women who want more from life and have been asking the "What Next" question for far too long.

So, how about you?  How many babies are you trying to give birth to right now?

Do you have one project that has 100% of your dedicated time, or are you an entrepreneur trying to work on more than one project at once and not doing so well with either?  And, are these projects related in some way?  If they are, then you may be fine with more than one project, but if they’re unrelated, it will take you longer to establish yourself in that area of business as well as finish the project.  The truth is, every time you switch from one project to another, you lose at least 40% focus.

John Reese, Internet Marketing Entrepreneur who made $1 million in 24 hours back in 2004, has just released this video, which I believe should be seen by every online and ‘real world’ entrepreneur as well as the aspiring new entrepreneur.

He speaks out about the biggest myth of wealth building and why 99% of entrepreneurs have it all wrong.  It encouraged me to stay focused on my plan, my target market and more importantly, on one business.
