The Key to Success is Knowing What You Want

Success Leaves Clues

I admit that I’m not sure who said this, but it’s true.  You can tell someone who’s successful or on their way to success by what they speak about, what they read and the fact that they know what they want.

So let me ask you this question… "do you know what you want?"  And I’m not talking about being a millionaire as I so often hear people say at seminars when asked this question. I want to know what you’ll do if you were given a million dollars tomorrow.  Would you squander it on all the things you thougt you lost out on as a child, or will you put it towards pursuing your passions, whatever those might be?

I think it was Jim Rohn who said "people don’t get what they want, because they don’t know what they want."

I know you’ve heard it time and time again, but if you don’t know what you want, it’s time to get pen to paper and set some goals - some real goals!  Not those that say I will be financially free in three years time or on xyz date.

No, I want you to focus on the things that really mean something to you… to have more time with your family, going on picnics and not having to miss out on your children growing up… to date your husband or wife and keep the romance alive… to drive the car of your dreams… to buy your parents that house… to create an example for your siblings to follow… to start that business that you’ve been putting off for so long.

If you ponder these things, if you visualize these things, I guarantee that you’ll soon be writing the goals about how to do them and be able to put some sort of time frame around each goal, but you need to get pregnant with the idea first and that passion will soon give birth to your dreams.

Blessings until next time,
